Originally from Ankara, she was raisedin Istanbul and Izmir, and in Izmir, she earned her five-year Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Ege University — one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Turkey — on full scholarship. Dr Gizem graduated in the top 10% of her class and eventually moved to the UK, passing her overseas registration exam (ORE) and getting registered with the General Dental Council in 2009. Around the same time, she also became interested in facial aesthetics and received advanced training from the Bob Khanna Training Institute in England.
Honing her skills in the field, Dr Gizem has worked as a dental associate in numerous private practices in London, Kent and Godalming and also became a member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (BAAD) in 2013.
