HBO’s hit series The White Lotus might be known for its drama and luxury resorts, but the dazzling smiles of its cast also are getting quite a bit of the spotlight. First, Aimee Lou Wood’s charmingly natural grin had everyone talking. But now, a dentist has weighed in on another breakout star of the show, Meghann Fahy, suggesting she might’ve had some “behind the scenes” dental work.
Dr Gizem Seymenoglu, a GDC-registered dentist and medical aesthetician at Longevita Dental, has revealed that the Emmy nominee has likely had two invasive dental procedures in addition to a lesser-known cosmetic procedure and some other treatments to achieve that perfect “Hollywood smile.

According to Dr Gizem, Meghann probably has dental veneers, and she may have had more than one set over the years to change the overall size and appearance of her teeth:
“I think Meghann has had a teeth whitening treatment and then gotten some dental veneers, either porcelain or composite, although, from the looks of it, they’re quite likely porcelain because they appear quite even in their alignment.”
The London-based dentist also speculates that the White Lotus actress may have gotten more than one set of veneers over the years, adding:
“Back in 2015, her teeth looked a bit thick and bulky — perhaps that was her first time getting these restorations. After a couple of years, however, her teeth looked much more natural, possibly because of some new veneers. Though, the more recent smile she has appears to be due to another new set of veneers.”

The expert also noted that Meghann’s smile appears much less gummy now, which was likely due to a surgical removal of her gum tissue, a procedure known as gingivectomy.
“I believe that Meghann’s gums and possibly a bit of bone were removed to lift the overall gumline and make it look less uneven.
In her older photos, the gum level of the central incisor and canine is the same, but the lateral incisor’s gumline looks significantly lower. It doesn’t look the same now, probably because that tissue was cut during a gingivectomy surgery.
What I like most about it is how her dentist didn’t completely alter her original smile design. You can see that her right central incisor is still a bit bigger than the left one, but that just adds to the naturalness and beauty of her results.”

Other than that, Dr Gizem thinks Meghann may have had some additional “tweakments,” noting an increase in the upper lip volume of the actress due to a potential lip filler. The expert also speculates a less widely known Botox treatment of the lips, saying: “It’s possible that Meghann had a very minimal “lip flip” treatment, in which basically Botox is injected into the corners of the upper lip, allowing it to relax and look more voluminous.”
